CMS issued a 32 page memo addressing the Hospitals Conditions of Participation on IV medication administration, safe opioid use, an administration of blood and blood products. These four sections became effective on June 6, 2014. Two of the tag numbers have been amended four times in the past few years so find out what are the final regulations and interpretive guidelines.
